Scott Houston is the Emmy Award winning host of “The Piano Guy” weekly public television series. A highly sought after educator and speaker, Houston has lectured at over 150 colleges, universities, public TV stations, music retailers, and music trade associations, including the Music Teacher’s National Association and NAMM (the International Music Products Association). Scott has long been a proponent of the Recreational Music Making movement, which seeks to offer ALL people the wellness benefits of playing music. He has authored numerous books and videos about playing piano and has made it his life’s mission to show people how to have fun playing piano and unlock the life-enhancing benefits that come from Recreational Music Making. Scott graduated from Indiana University where he attended the jazz program at the Jacobs School of Music.
