Get the buzz on bugs with this interactive take-along book that invites kids to go on bug-seeking adventures to identify insects, learn about bug lives, and track their discoveries.

Junior naturalists will love spotting insects while walking in the woods, playing in a park, or searching around their own front door. Photo field guides help them identify fliers, crawlers, and pollinators, while scavenger hunts and cool bug facts boost the insect intrigue. Projects such as Weave a Web or Make a Bug Hotel encourage outside play.

Backpack Explorer: Bug Hunt is packed with fun features, including:
  • 50 stickers
  • 12 interactive field guides
  • 5 outdoor games
  • 3 sensory scavenger hunts
  • A real magnifying glass
  • A pull-out journal to record an insect adventure
It’s the perfect guide for kids ages 4 to 8 who love butterflies, beetles, spiders, and more!

Now nature-curious kids can play and learn with the companion Backpack Explorer online game.
